Social Events

The Political Science Student Association welcomes any and all individuals available to attend.

The following events are hosted by the Political Science Student Association. If you have any questions or are curious about attending you can ask any of the current executive board members or email PSSA@Truman.edu

Events

Monthly Happy-Appy Hours

  • We host a monthly happy hour event at the Wooden Nickel. Both students and faculty usually attend.

Research Nights/Study Group Sessions

  • PSSA will coordinate with students in the various departmental courses to plan and host study sessions to better prepare students for upcoming exams and quizzes. Generally a more experienced student will assist the newer students with proper studying techniques.

Fall & Spring Semester Barbecues

  • Students and faculty are provided the opportunity to mingle and compete at the barbecue events hosted in both the Fall and Spring semesters. Food is prepared and there are an assortment of games available as well.

Poker Night

  • A poker night is generally hosted in which the various students who attend are able to play against our esteemed faculty adviser Dr.Rudy and any other members of the Political Science and International Relations Department.

Board game Night

  • A board game night is hosted to act as a stress reliever for the members. Some of the various games played are: Settlers of Catan, Secret Hitler, and other card games such as UNO.
